At Mary Dean's, we want our children to communicate their ideas using written words.  They are taught to write using a stimulus text which will inspire them and challenge their knowledge of what makes writing effective and enjoyable. The children will learn to use the features associated with the genre they are being taught and unpick a model text.  Children will learn to write grammatically correct sentences with a range of language features, good vocabulary, neat handwriting and correctly spelt words.
