Uniform 

At Mary Dean's CE Primary School, all children are expected to look smart and wear the school uniform. Makeup and finger nail varnish is not permitted. All hairstyles need to be appropriate and of a natural colour. Extreme hairstyles, for example, excessive shaven patterns or mohicans are not acceptable. The school and governing body reserve the right to ask parents to restyle inappropriate hairstyles.

UNIFORM CONSISTS OF:​

• Sky blue or navy blue school polo shirt (with or without logo)
• School navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without logo)
• Long or short trousers (grey or black) - leggings are not permitted
• Skirt or pinafore (grey)
• School summer dress (blue and white stripes or checks)
• Socks (grey, white or black)
• Black or grey tights
• School sun hats (navy blue)
• Sensible school shoes which offer protection to the feet (dark grey, brown or black) - no boots or sports trainers, but black trainer shoes are permitted
• No Jewellery - children with pierced ears may only wear one pair of stud earrings
• A watch if your child can tell the time
• No hair gel or extreme hairstyles, long hair to be tied up

PE Kit

• Navy blue shorts
• House colour t-shirt with logo (red, blue, yellow, green as advised by class teacher)
• Plimsolls / trainers
• Navy blue jogging bottoms for winter outdoor PE

Second hand uniform

Second hand uniform can be bought from the school office for fifty pence per item - please ask in the school office.

All clothing MUST be labelled with the child's name. Although stud earrings are permitted, exposed earrings cannot be worn during PE lessons and must be removed or covered with tape. Long hair must be tied up in school or during PE lessons, including swimming.
